This Crockpot Orange Chicken is the easiest orange chicken recipe ever and there’s no breading, browning, or frying involved. Your slow cooker does all the work. The chicken is so tender, juicy, and layered with complementary flavors from the orange marmalade, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and green onions.

This recipe was perfect! I was having mad cravings for orange chicken and had an abundance of fresh oranges on hand. My husband was pleasantly surprised at how good it was as he’s finicky with orange in his savory foods! Thank you so much!

How To Make crockpot orange chicken Recipe

To make This Orange Chicken recipe you'll need the following ingredients:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1-2 tbsp Green onions Finely chopped, For garnish
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili flakes Optional
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds Roasted, For garnish
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 3/4 cup Orange marmalade
  • 1/3 cup Orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low sodium
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 2 pounds Chicken breast Cut into small cubes
  • 1 tsp Olive oil or vegetable oil, canola oil, corn oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

At a slow cooker, add the chicken pieces, sesame oil, olive oil, orange marmalade, orange juice, soy sauce, ginger, vinegar, garlic,  red chili flakes (optional), pepper, and salt. Mix everything together.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on High for 2 hours.

Remove the chicken and keep it aside, leaving behind the sauce.

Whisk the cornstarch into the sauce until fully dissolved.

Cover and cook on High for 30 minutes.

Add the chicken back into the slow cooker and mix it all.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
