Glazed Blueberry Biscuits 

Glazed Blueberry Biscuits are a sweet Biscuit treat made with a biscuit dough that is studded with fresh or frozen blueberries, and topped with a sweet glaze made with powdered sugar and milk or lemon juice. They are typically served as a breakfast or brunch pastry, but can also be enjoyed as a dessert or snack. Why don’t you try your hand at making these delicious biscuits?

Glazed Blueberry Biscuits


Ingredients

Ingredients for the biscuits:

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoons of the butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 3 ounces of blueberries (fresh or dried)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/3 cup of white sugar

Ingredients for the glaze:

  • 1/2 teaspoon of the lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 tbsp of the honey
  • 1/8 cup of water
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions

Start by preheating your oven to 450°F. And in your large, bowl add and mix the sugar, salt, flour then baking powder. 

And add blueberries and cold milk to the dry ingredients then mix. (And make sure before you start baking the biscuits, you need to put one stick of butter in the freezer for roughly one hour.) And remove the butter from your freezer then break it into chunks. Next, spread the frozen powdered chunks evenly over the biscuit dough. After that fold the blueberry biscuit dough then knead.

Be sure to repeat this until all the frozen butter chunks are spread evenly throughout the dough. And place or do on a floured surface then roll in about 1/4 to 1/8 inches thick. And by using a biscuit cutter cut approximately 6 biscuits from the dough. Then bake the biscuits for approximately 8 to 13 min.

Next, melt one tablespoon of butter in your microwave then gently paint on top of the hot biscuits.

And mix together then stir with honey for the glaze then drizzle over the biscuits.
