Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of margarine (or butter)
- 1 package of pie crusts
- 1 cup of frozen peas, thawed
- 1/3 cup of chopped onion
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 3 cups of chicken, cooked
- 1 cup of frozen corn, thawed
- 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
Heat oven to 425°F. And, prepare pie crusts as directed on a package for two-crust pie using a 9-inch pie pan.
And, in a medium saucepan, then melt margarine over medium heat.
Then add onion, and cook for 2 minutes or until tender.
After that, stir in flour, salt, then, pepper until well-blended.
Gradually stir in broth and milk; cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly and thickened.
And, add chicken, corn, and peas; remove from heat.
Spoon chicken mixture into a crust-lined pan.
Top with second crust and flute; cut slits in several places.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
