Cookie Toast
Breakfast has never been my strong suit. For years my a.m. eating habits had mainly been strong black coffee and a tester compost cookie warm out of the oven as I crushed my prep list.
As I reach 'cough' adulthood 'cough', I’ve tried to squeeze more sensibility into my diet by eating toast…made from cookies.
If you use the Buttered Toast Cookie as the base for your cookie toast, you are officially my hero.
Ingredients:
2 cookies
2 spoonfuls of spreadable topping: jam, jelly, nut butter, Marshmallow Fluff, frosting
Handful of sprinkleable toppings: toasted nuts, Shortcake Crumbs, granola, sprinkles, mini pretzels.
Instructions:
Spread the flat side of each cookie with spreadable topping and evenly sprinkle with sprinkleable toppings.
Eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and midnight snack it’s never a bad time for cookie toast.
