Sweet Paul’s Easy Chili Recipe

Sweet Paul’s Easy Chili

This is an easy chili recipe, packed with lots of flavors. I always make it the day before as a night in the fridge makes the flavors really pop!

INGREDIENTS

  • One 28-ounce can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup ale
  • 1 shot espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 pinch (or more) red chili flakes
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup carrot, finely chopped
  • ½ cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Splash of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • One 10.5-ounce can of white beans
  • Garnishes: avocado, parsley, extra chili flakes

Directions

Place all the ingredients except for the beans in a slow cooker. Mix well and set heat to high. Let simmer for at least 2 hours.

After simmering, allow the chili to cool. Place it in the fridge for the next day.

When ready to serve, heat up the chili and add in the beans. Serve in large bowls with avocado, parsley, and extra chili flakes.
