Simplicity meets excellence in this handed-down masterpiece that screams warmth and comfort. Nothing fancy going on here, just the classic combination of good ol’ ground beef (or turkey!), hearty beans, and warm spices that is best simmered low and slow. From my family to yours, enjoy. Grandma would be proud.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground meat of choice
  • 1 small sweet onion, chopped
  • One 16-ounce can of tomato sauce
  • One 16-ounce can of red kidney beans
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Directions


Brown the ground meat with the onion.

After the meat has cooked, drain off the grease.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.
