Pie Crumbs Recipe

Ingredients:
Makes 1⅓ cups
110g flour ¾ cup
13g sugar 1 T
2g kosher salt ½ tsp
56g unsalted butter, melted
and cooled 4 T
12g vegetable oil 1 T
Instructions:
Heat the oven to 350°F. Pan-spray or line a half-sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the flour, sugar, and salt and paddle on low speed until well mixed, 15 to 30 seconds.

Add the melted butter and oil and paddle on low speed until the mixture starts to come together in small clusters, 15 to 30 seconds. Spread the clusters on the prepared sheet pan.

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, breaking them up occasionally. The crumbs should be deeper than golden brown and still slightly moist to the touch at that point; they will dry and harden as they cool.

Let the crumbs cool completely before using them in a recipe or eating.

Stored in an airtight container, the crumbs will keep fresh for 1 week at room temperature or 1 month in the fridge or freezer. Enjou!
