French Toast Crumble
Ingredients:
110g bread of your choice, torn
into ½-inch pieces ¼ lb
100g sugar ½ cup
2g kosher salt ½ tsp
1g cinnamon ½ tsp
56g unsalted butter, melted 4 T
2 large eggs
Instructions:
Heat the oven to 300°F. Pan-spray or line two half-sheet pans with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a medium bowl, toss the bread pieces together with the sugar, salt, and cinnamon until evenly coated.
In a separate bowl, whisk the butter and eggs together, then toss it into the bread mixture and mix until wet and well coated.
Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheets and bake slow and low at 300°F until golden brown, with a caramelized edge, but leaving some chew in the centers, 45 minutes.
Cool completely before using.
