I can vividly recall my first encounter with this casserole at my grandmother's house when I was just a child. On that occasion, my grandmother had graciously invited our extended family for dinner. The moment she unveiled the casserole from the oven, the entire room was enveloped in the irresistible aroma of freshly baked crescent rolls, setting the stage for a delightful culinary experience.

That initial bite was pure heaven; the sweetness of the cheesecake filling harmonized perfectly with the buttery pastry, and I was instantly captivated.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

Instructions:
First, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

Then, Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish, then make sure to seal any seams.

And, in a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, one cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Then spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the casserole dish.

Then unroll the second can of crescent roll dough, then lay it on top of the cream cheese layer, and make sure to press the edges to seal.

After that, pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the casserole. Then in a small bowl, mix together ground cinnamon and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, then sprinkle the mixture over the butter.

Then bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown then the filling is set. Then allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving. And Enjoy!
