Slow Cooker Turkey Pumpkin Chili
My chili is easy to make and a tasty mix of sweet and savory. It’s the first
thing I want to make when fall arrives. I saw a few recipes online for turkey
chili that were too spicy or too sweet, so this is the one I created on my
own. It’s important to get the fall spices in!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground turkey
- ½ cup onion
- One 15-ounce can of diced tomatoes
- One 15-ounce can of pumpkin purée
- One 16-ounce can of kidney beans
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Dash salt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Directions
Turn the slow cooker to high and allow it to heat up for 10 minutes.
Add the turkey and onion to the slow cooker. Cook for 15
minutes.
Break the turkey up into chunks-it will be partially browned.
Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker in order. Stir to mix everything.
Cook the chili on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.
